Already seen this yesterday .. sorry i forgot to comment .. i like this one ... and after nick's fabulous comment .. i think i don't have much too say ... just one thing .. the angle used and the composition could have been enhanced with a vertical crop imo .. its the tension that creates the mood ... and it would have been nice (imo .. may not actually be that way .. usually i'm wrong :() to drag it a bit a more towards the roghtmost corner .. anyway i like this .. 6/7

Regards,

-sandip

Dear Nick,
First of all thanks for your comment. It was an experimental shot. I just waneted to capture both of them in one frame. Captured them in some other angles as well. To me this one was the best of the lot.
thanks again

A rather unusual composition to me, Debapratim, as I would either the tower as it stands on the photo, or the streetlight as it stands on the photo - but both of them together on one photo load it with tension. Diagonal against vertical. The antagonism between two persectives or even leading lines.

This tension seems to be contuinued by the concurrence between the good contrasts and details on the objects themselves and the rather flat sky, and also by the light difference of the objects agaisnt their background, the latter giving a rather special kind of "shining" of the objects despite the fact that they are actually darker than the background.

Unusual and good work! Keep it up!

Nick
