Geoff, thanks for the comments. I did try several times to get the its head properply frame, but it just just came moveing. I also wanted to get the "hanging" feather in the frame. You can see that it is a bit clipped.
Great detail and colours, I love how you've placed the head inside the frame. The colours on the bird kind of match those with the background but they contrast with the texture, very powerful.
