It's not where you are, but who you're with, metaphorically speaking. Although this is a pretty nice place for "where you are"!
If that is the San Andreas Mt. range behind them, it would appear that you are shooting west -- in mid-afternoon with soft cloud coverage.
Excellent lighting and composition.

I am impressed by the sand there. You mentioned in a previous pic that the dunes are in between mountains. Is this the same place? Beautiful capture Jacques, very nice composition.
