About I really, really, really, really like this shot. Not because it is perfect in light/composition/focus... but because of what I know about the situtation when I snapped it. This was taken the night Eli received her diploma at Illinois State University. The lady sat and talked and chatted... the man asked questions. "What is the lighting like? What color are the gowns? Are there flowers? Tell me about the kids." I tried to take a pic that was glorious in structure... It was not possible. It is a bit blurred. I did not have the courage to ask their permission to pose for me. I took this on the sly. Usually I am a stickler for sharpness and focus... I post this one and admit there is more to be seen in this slightly blurry image than if it were crystal clear.

Ummm..... I forgot???? Well, I didn't do an email writing on it. I just posted some shots here. Funny thing, this college stuff. There are many, many families that are all proud and such when the children graduate. Here, in the Loy household, it is expected. Me, MM, Mike, Nathan and Eli. 5 for 5 in the college area. I guess I don't take it as serious as I should.

All the serious comments - then I read Rogers - I can't stop laughing. Ignorant as it may seem. Great picture though, Jimmie, I always read your about's before I look at your picture. It makes it better that way. My heart went awe after I saw the picture and put your words that I read to it. Great job.

Heh heh... there is no other. That's the truth! Not yet, anyway! Case has been made. Nah... onanism for me from here to eternity!

Good Me man!!!! (Me is the same as God...kekekekeke) Stop wallowing... set her straight. Stand tall. Make your case! If not her, then the other one you have an interest in! Life is far too short to mumble and blather about! Stop worrying and hoping and fretting... get on with it!

Just saying......

Errr... no I don't! Well, I used to have. But not any more. There's a woman I'm very fond of who knows me very well, I think, even though I don't know her that well... she's one of those people that can see things others can't... but unfortunately I made the foolish mistake of falling in love with her, so I don't see her anymore. But she could help Blind Patrick take photos... she'd be good, actually.

Oh, I have to ask... do you have friends who really know you? An old Chinese saying, "We have three faces. One we show to the public, one we show only to our friends and family and one known only to ourself." I can honestly say, whatever others argue... there is no one who can pic up my thoughts and show the world my perspective other than me. God love those I count as friends...

I still hold that not one could hold my hand and walk me through what I would see on my own.

The shadowed figure in front of the blind man might be viewed as symbolic, given the circumstances... going blind is my biggest fear, although I have often wondered whether I could carry on taking photographs if I was, with the help of a friend who knew me really well and had the patience to describe things to me and operate the camera ... interesting photo, this, even without the 'about'.
