Hi Lydia, thanks for your comment. Indeed the 80-400mm lens is not bad. It gives great results. Take a look to all the close ups. The only thing which bothers me sometimes is the apeture 3,5/4,5. Actually I took this shot in the Virginian Zoo.

Beautiful detail - lovely full frame - please let me know if you're happy with this lens, up to 400 mm?
The distribution of the crowned crane is sub- Sahara, Africa - where did you photograph this one, Sascha? Regards Lydia
