About	Just a touch... a hand on the shoulder. A 92 year old veteran and his wife's hand on his shoulder. I have a small story about this couple. Just before this was taken, the veteran stepped off the sidewalk (making his way to the seat he is sitting in) and almost lost his balance. He staggered a tad to his left,(his back to me) threw out his right arm, leaned back a bit… a bit… a bit… more (almost falling over) then righted himself. I sighed… I looked up. His wife was staring back at me. She had the, “Did you see that? Did you know he almost fell over???” look on her face. I smiled…winked and said (in a very low voice, almost a whisper…) “I had him. Don’t worry. I would have caught him.” Her eyes softened and she smiled back… He never knew different. A few seconds later I was lucky enough to capture one of the most touching moments I have ever been privilege to… His wife of over 60 years… Touched him on the shoulder… I like to think I had something to do with the moment…

And when one of them goes, the other will follow shortly behind the other. Sad, but the truth. Love forever reigns when it's true. Lucky for MM, she will live years beyond, no not because she doesn't love you, but the sheer fact she can have a sigh of sanity relief for a few years!
