Thank you, James. Everybody has convinced me no crop needed...
I'm not 100% positive on what it is but I believe it is the remnants of a (horse) bridle, but a large bridle, since the ring was fairly large.
Best wishes, Dave

Thanks, Tadhg. I appreciate your input and now agree that the image already was cropped in-camera and needs no further.

Thank you, Ani. You are correct, it's already been cropped in-camera and no need to crop further... silly me, no wonder why I couldn't decide.
Hugs~~ Dave

Thanks, Gary. I overlooked the fact that I already cropped it in-camera. I am just so used to having to crop to a certain print size, that I automatically assumed I had to crop it.
You and others are correct, it should be left as is.
Best, Dave

Crop it where, Dave? If you did you'd lose one of the two key elements, the metal ring or the weathered leather. There's so much detail and natural colour in both I'd keep 'em. Regards, Gary

Leave it as it is Dave!!! (Please...)
The crop is (in my opinion) excellent, and the tones and textures, shadow and light all work so well! Nay, there is no need to crop this image. It is brilliant!
LOVE IT!!!

I don't think this would benefit from a crop at all! As a matter of fact, I think a crop would hurt the overall image. As it stands, I'm left asking...what the heck is it?!?! Nice capture of the rust/patina tones. Well done!
