Thanks Tim, I was fascinated by the view; it was a fluke that I looked down. I jumped to get the camera and start shooting... Yes it was coming back from Europe.

Last ferry? Yuck! I hate that run. By the look of things it seems you had a great trip. Good for you!

I'm not sure if this was over Sask. or AB. Very interesting topography.

Fabulous shot, and a wonderful lesson in geography. I am always amazed how seeing the earth from the air makes clear some of the processes that are taking place, like the changing courses of rivers as seen here.

The clouds at the top of the image help to orient the viewer.

Love this shot. Abstract almost...It is also interesting to see the change in flow patterns of the river having left some of the curves in a abandoned state for more easily flowing ground over the years. I guess this was taken as you were coming home from Europe? I just got back myself tonight on the last ferry.
