Sascha -- No, I am not German even though I have German first and last names. My grandfather came over to the US, fleeing Czarist Russia many, many years ago. He changed his name to one he picked to change his identity. So we have used this name for many years. My grandparents on both my mother and father side spoke many languages including German, Russian, English, French and Yiddish.
