An interesting project. A little story: When I lived in the city of Århus there was a very elegant woman walking in the streets looking fabolous. I thought she probably was a young woman in her 30´ies until one day I saw her face. She turned around and smiled at me and I was schocked. She had to be around 80 years old with an extremely wrinkled face and tons of make-up making her look like a mask. No doubt that she wanted to keep on to the special kind of beauty from her youth, but it just looked scary instead of dignified and beautiful.
So the back of people can tell a lot, but once in a while one gets a big surprise:-)

These are the first in a new series I'm starting called 'faceless portraits'... I am intending to explore how much (or how little) we can glean about a person without seeing their face. I'm really excited by this project... it's got me all fired up.

I like how you focus on people in this series showing the city with their eyes. There are three levels- you, the stranger that is more known after being photographed and the mass of completely unknown anonymous people.
