About The Devil's Bath Tub. This is a small waterfall that ends into a swirl at Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio. This is a great visit, with caves and waterfalls all over the place and with a lot of Spring rain a really enjoyable time.

This is a wide angle shot - at the top the ground is almost level looking upstream, and lower in the frame I captured the vertical plunge into the swirling tub below.

Neat shot, Michael! Interesting views looking out along the river and down into the "tub". I like the effect of the slow shutter speed on the pool with the white spot grading into gray then blue. Cheers, Gary

Lovely colour and interesting composition Michael. Agree with Stef on the cropping but as you say - its not a perfect world and evereything is not always possible! Well done.

Stef:

Yeah, I just knew there was something a little weird with this one - and now I know. The bridge I am standing on is right below the crop, the pool actually runs under a bridge and out the other side. I had a cantilever position on the tripod to keep the wide angle as best as I could manage, but maybe an adventurous UFer could go back with a 10 mm lens and get the whole shebang!

Nice Shot Michael,

Good detail and crisp focus with nice colours.I like the effect you achieved with the slow shutterspeed. Just one thing, it seems as if the bottom of the tub has been cut off, perhaps you should have moved the frame just a bit lower. Just my opinion though. Still a very nice shot.
Well Done!

Cheers,
Stef
