yeees Mohammad,U are right ! It looks much better:) btw, I attached the original image, take a look. there was no cropping btw. thanks for sharing the alternative one :) Motahare
well, now that we are in some agreements, lets talk about it even more, it's the way I prefer to talk about photos as an Artistic view. first I would like to see the original image of this shot (I guess it's a part of a larger one, maybe not, but because of it's aspect ratio I'm early sure of some cropping). but, about this version, I will suggest you to try crop it again, remove the lower left corner's part so that the entrance passage way be more clear, it will elongate it(although illusion). here is my alternative.
Dear Mohammad, First of all thanks for visiting! secondly, thanks for talking frankly! about sharpening, I think you r right, it makes all edges brighter and honestly, I didnt care about it! but for the graduated tint, I prefer this coloring since it makes the whole atmosphere more disappointed, what I really want it be! and yep, I needed a great paradox between the title and image to show that some times we are waiting for some events to happen which is absolutely impossible.but we just try to dont care about this absolute impossibility and we still wait for it to happen, some times maybe even unconsciously! yeah, the dock is absolutely out of order, and still some one is waiting for her loved one from here , no where else .... maybe because he promised or maybe .... I dont know, different things come to different people's mind AND I prefer to leave it to them whatever they like to see and imagine:) that's why there is no ad info for the pic... but for sure it wants to show the long duration of waiting... btw, thank you:) Motahare
Well, finally I'm here, writing comments on your works, I suppose you don't need just my compliments and you want my opinions, on the contrary. Why I start from this one is just for the sake of the chance, not order. This shot is basically good, but you did something wrong I think and you did NOT something good for it. What you did wrong are applying an unwanted gradual tint all over the shot, and over sharpening which resulted to edge brightening, you can see all over the edges. And what I think you shall do is to straighten the horizon, as the horizon over the sea is not straight and tilted a little. And about the concept, what do you mean my naming it "He will come... I know!" it has a great paradox with your shot! this dock seems to be out of order, and if he decided to come, he will come from another way for sure! Unless you mean you are awaiting for too long by now?! (I'm just figure it out by asking you) or you entitle this work after what you've done and you got a dock faced to sea and... Think about them.
