Sid you must be doing something wrong. Set the XTI up on a tripod, use the TV mode, set speed to 1/30sec of 1/15thsec press the timer switch then time the break to co-incide with the timer on the camera. Good luck.

Amazing Photograph Ron! Neat Idea
I have always been tantalized by these long exposure images. I used to use a Canon S1 IS and it limited me to only 15 second and now i have an XTi but haven't been able to figure out how to use the longer exposure. The longest I have been able to get is a 30s. How did you use your XT for this prolonged exposure?
