About My brother is a handyman and works in a few different subdivisions.
He was walking along and saw this guy in the middle of the road.
He rescued and then gave him to my wife.
He is a bearded dragon. I think he's about 2-3 yrs old. A little under 18 inches in length.

this is one of the first shots that is not blurry!

Yes he is a breaded dragon.
The initial buy for all the equipment was quite expensive.
Weekly cost for food is about $10.
He eats super meal worms rather than crickets as the worms require no food and keep longer.
Plus I can use tweezers rather than pick up the crickets.
The crickets or meal worms are his protein. He eats a variety of greens, usually a mix of collard and mustard greens.
He is currently in another shed state so he is in a vile mood but I can see the size difference from when I got him to now.

Thanks for the comment.
Also check out the other pictures I have posted of him.
I have one where his beard is out if you have never seen that before!

Hi Mike,
I recognized this guy as a Bearded Dragon. My Brother bought one for his daughter a few years ago. The up keep is pretty expensive on these guys isn't it? Apparently they eat these special store bought crickets that cost a fortune. Spike is now about 18" long too.

Not once you get the setup ready.
I spent about $500 total on the setup to make him feel at home.
The key, I have found, is to find other reptile owners that can help you out with tips, techniques, and older supplies.
Defiantly a great learning curve but rewarding once you figure out the quirks of your beast as each has it's own personality.

I actually now have an outdoor cage for him that he chills in when I am outside. Will try to post a few pics of that in the future!

This was the day I received him.
He had been sitting in a five gallon bucket all day so his coloring was not the usual.
In the morning he is very dark, but the exposure to the iv rays lightens him up throughout the day!

Thanks for the comment!

Look like someone's pet got out of its cage! I have lots of iguana photos from Aruba (from last summer) but they were all taken by my son. He like to make it look like the iguanas are attacking him.

Cool lizard.
