As an ex mountaineer and rock climber I can appreciate this photograph in two ways. My instinct is to try and work out where the route goes by scanning the rock for gear ;-)
It's only when I've worked out in my head the mountaineering questions that I can start to read the photo as a photograph.
From a photographic point of view I would have prefered the climber to be situated on one of the vertical 1/3 lines, just to give me a sense of where he was going to go next (I've assumed he's going to traverse the ledge here). However the overhang below does give a real element of exposure.
Well done, I do like these mountaineering / climbing photos. I'll have to take my camera out into the hills again.
