nice lines and angles, agree with the general sentiment that this rotation creates more tension. i think its added to by the black & white too, giving it an almost sinister/cold feeling. funny how such a simple subject conjures up all these feelings!

You are very welcome Suzan. Actually, after studying your image over and over again, I can't do different than to say again what Jason already stated. The rotated image might be more "classic" but it os your orientation that creates a considerable amount of additional tension. That kind of... desorientation in a well known real place, when one walks down the avenue under the shadows of the tall buildings. A strange reality created by an image that simply displays nothing more than reality.

What a simple rotation can do...

Best wishes,

Nick.

P.S.: Perhaps you should really try to contact some local magazine and ask them if they would like to use this photo. I am completely sure that somebody will need exactly such an image!

This photo is hard to look at, but in a good way. Nick's rotation is easier to view, and a little more traditional, perhaps, but I like the orientation you've chosen better. I thinks it's because of the abstract feel, and the tension.
Jason.

Excellent! This is a perfect take with a huge DoF and a fantastic dynamic.

Susan, perhaps rotating it like the attachment?

A 7++++ and my congratulations!

Great work Susan. Love the perspective and angle you used here. The mono conversion really brings out the lines on the building. Well Done :)
