About Another shot similar to the previous one. Taken while cycling the railtrail. Still unsure of brightness - haveing difficulty with viewing it on several other computers and it appearing darker. Please leave your comments.

Hi John - appreciate your comments. The sharpness is a problem often used in comments on my photos. Have been told it could be through resizing J-Pegs - appearantly you lose sharpness through this process. I guess I'll have to learn how to resharpen. Can't wait untill I can afford DSLR for the better range of iso - apperture. Enjoyed your portfolio - very clear crisp images.
Regards Greg

Very nice image, the fence adds a lot here and pf caurse the main object, the lighting is not strong but gives nice mood here, excellent on that. I only can ask for a bit more sharpness...looks like needs a bit higher ISO seppd on that as you use a small apperture (and you did well for the bigger focal depth)
Best regards!

I think that I prefere this one from the two, Greg, though they have much in common. This one seems to me to have better proportions - better in the sense of agreeing more with the overall perspective.

The lower brightness together with the slightly softer focus on the foreground make it also have some the character of a painting - just consider the grass directly under the role.

Both are unusual in their look and feel but as alreadyx said, I look at this more than at the other!

Best wishes and keep it up!

Nick

Hi Greg, I really like this series, great views and a nice perspective, it feels very peaceful. I use that camera too (when traveling, too lazy to carry the 20D), and it amazes me how sharp the images are...I agree with you this one is a little dark, but it's still a beauty...and the composition is excellent, nice sky too...:)

It depends greg what mood you are trying to reach ..i love the moodiness of this picture and as if the there is cloud overhead taking away the sunlight..if you want a bright sunny day then try your contrast ..but i think it is a lovely capture..nessa

Greeting Greg,
Very good Composition, lovey sky and rolling field, the brightness is dark on my screen, my sugestion would be a tweek in the contrast, this way you would not blow out the white in the clouds. It is alway difficult when adjusting levels becuase every computer screen is different, best regards, sandra
