This pagoda, located on a hill inside the Sankei Garden in Yokohama, is the garden landmark. It is visible from almost any corner of the garden.This three-storied pagoda belonged to the former Tomyoji Temple in Kyoto. The temple was founded by Emperor Shomu in the year 735. This pagoda was built in 1457 and was relocated to the Sankei Garden in 1914. It is the oldest pagoda in the Kanto area.This shot was taken on Saturday, January 27, when we had a 15 dgrees C temperature at noon and we could enjoy the wild plum trees already blooming.
