About (give or take a few hundred years) 6000 years past the Sumerians made charts of the heavens. They plotted the course of the sun. The astrological charts of today are based on the Sumerian calculations. What? You know your sign but do not know why it is your sign? Wellllll, let Jimmie fill ya up…. Errrr….. in….
When your were birthed, when ya popped outta yer mam, where-ever the sun was at noon on that day, in the sky, marked what sign you were born under. At 12:00 straight up, on the day you were born, whatever constellation was directly overhead is considered your “sign.” I was pushed out on July 12, 1958 (as if I had to remind you) and on that day, at noon, 12 of the clock mid-day, the sun was centered in the constellation of Cancer. Sooooo, I am a Cancer. (on society in general… kekekekekekekekekekeekke)
And whatever day you were thrust into the world, Dec. 10, April 4, May what-ever…. At that moment in time, on that day, the sun was in what-ever constellation at noon and you are a Gemini, or a Taurus, or a Libra… but here is where I tip your world over…
Here is what the Sumerians did NOT know, they knew the earth traveled about the Heavens, but they did not know the world also wobbles left and right. Yep, we spin for the seasons but also wobble left and right. The axis of the earth (draw a line through the center pole to pole) was once (point )“there” in the night sky but the 28,000 year “wobble” has since shifted and the axis now points “over by there” in real time….
Over that shift, (known as the Precession of the Equinoxes) our “sign” has also shifted. If you were birthed in July of anytime-now, actually, when ya came into view you were 30 days earlier. A July baby is NOT a Cancer by the Sumerian rule… you are a Gemini.
So in reality, if ya read yer horoscope, you actually have to read the bit before your listed birth day. You are not what ya believe, you are one sign before… the precession on the equinoxes….
Thanks to that bit of a wee wobble in the earth.
