They look so cute, like cartoons. It's impressive how the lens can capture all their details, but in plain eyesight, they just look like dark specks that we kill when we see them.

This is a hole in wood. Here this specie is called "Jati" and gives very good honey. I clicked them and some catched in my hair.. but i wasn´t bitten.. :)

Nice macro. Are these gals in a log or in a hole in the ground? Do you know which species they are? Lovely colours on them. I'm just wishing that bright spot wasn't there on the lower right, but difficult to know whether to gently remove it if you don't how easily this particular nest could be provoked...especially with so many on guard.
