Doyle,

You know, the more I think about it, the more I come to realize it's just a matter of more mist. There was very little mist (steam, I guess) because the temperature difference wasn't that great. Perhaps on a colder day I could get that shot. Hmmmm...

It's not like I won't have another opportunity. Stay tuned. ;^)

Doyle,

That would be ideal. I don't know that I could get that shot at this time of year, but I see what you mean.

Stunning Todd. Certainly a keeper, printer, hanger-upper. (Technical terms). I like the mist effect and I'm compelled to wonder if - given the right conditions and timing . . . the light shafts would be illuminated coming through the foliage and the mist . . . Beautiful though . . . and wonderfully scenic locale!

Doyle I <~~~~~

Nice composition, Todd, and I like the effect of the mist, too.

Like this and the detail. There appears to be a tree branch on the right middle which appears out of no where. I also would consider croping out the light at the top as it leads your eyes there rather than to the rest of the shot. John

Bill,

Thanks for the kind words. I do like this photo. The "sun flare" is actually mist from the falls being back-lit by a shaft of sunlight coming through the hole at the top of the falls. The falls face north, so they never have direct sunlight. Good for the blurry water effect, bad for contrast. Glad you like it.

Here's one for the wall Todd. Very nicely exposed and the compostion is fantistic, I think the only thing I'd change is to get rid of the sun flare?? Well done.
