About Again a sphere, again space isotropy. The same properties of space that are responsible for a spherical earth, a spherical sun, and so on, are also responsible for a spherical fruit of a tree.

Well, *almost* spherical. And this "almost" proves to be one of the biggest mysteries in physics. Nature is only "almost" symmetrical - even when there is no obvious reason to be that.

Nonetheless that "almost" sphere is pressumably a very very usual solid body.

To the photo itself now, the right side seems to be a bit overexposured. But the main thing, the spherical berry between the green leaves over a dark background are OK, I think.

Many many thanks Koteiba!

Indeed, more than half of my time I am somewhere on the peaks and slopes, carrying my gear and enjoying the silence. No blabla, no advertisments, no false promises - simply reality of the world as it was meant to be. That is, I try to get the most of it before it is burried under mountains of our garbage! ;-)

Best wishes,

Nick

Thanks Nick,
I only did it because I know that you are always interested in different perspectives. Sometimes it is just easier to show an image than explain it in words. Thanks for understanding.

Hi Andre!

First of all, please be free to change, crop, do anything you might consider good with my photos. I am only glad seeing other points of view and looking at other ideas.

And as about your cropping here, well yes, it does change composition but I consider it better than mine. Enough leaves (space) no overexposured parts, and the sphere (berry) is much more enhanced!

Thank you for showing - I have to to retry this and shoot closer to the berry! If I only knew when they grow!

Best wishes and thanks again,

Nick

Hi Nick,
I promise that I will not make a habit out of changing your images. (I know this can get bothersome because so many people have so many different tastes and opinions. I think showing the change is easier than expaining it in this case.

On reading your about, you make it clear that the spherical shape of the berry is the main subject. You also hint that you are not very pleased with the right side being overexposed. So keeping these two things in mind, why not consider a vertical crop that eliminates the right side and makes good use of the diagonal line leading up to the main subject (berry) I know the composition changes significantly and might not give the same feeling you had in mind. It is possible you wanted to keep the feel of the berry/sphere, surrounded by the leaves in "space". If so, you could probably still keep the landscape format and take away some of the right side.
As I've said before, none are better... just different.
The colours are perfectly natural and I like the softness of the image for this about explantion.
What do you think?
