Beautiful, Kes! First class B&W rendering with the filtered sky!

Thanks Peter, this shot is a favorite of mine for the series. Yes, there was a polarizing filter on the lens. Additionally, this B&W conversion has red filtration via Picasa2's "filtered B&W" effects. The contrasts were also bumped up with Picasa2, and the image was sharpened and scaled with The Gimp program. Also, while rotated with the house oriented at the top, a graduated tint was applied with Picasa2.
:) Fun stuff!

Beautiful capture, full of contrast and a high dynamic range .. did you use any filter to produce this shot ?

Thanks Txules, it's from the polarizer on the camera and then a red (if i recall..looks like it) filter in Picasa2 added.

Hi Andre, it's neat architecture for sure! I bet inside the bay window was the warmest place in the house during winter! At least on a sunny day..

Thanks Avi! It is an easy place to get shots...a pretty setting in surrounded by...nothing...in an alpine valley. :)

A nice job with the detail on the ground and the building Kes!

You are making the D80 look even more tempting to me.

I always wonder about how much use one of those little balconys would have gotten. They didn't put a bbq or lounge chair up there did they?
