About Back in 1990 I started a self-portrait project using coin-operated photobooths to record different moods and looks (and haircuts--or lack of them). The idea was to surrender all camera control to the booth and focus only on my appearance and pose. As of 1996 I had some 80+ strips of four b&w photos each. I'll probably post some of those in the future. This is my favorite single frame from the project. The honeycomb-like grain is a product of the camera, not some texture I digitally added.

primal scream

I like this very much. Have you or would you consider grouping some of them together?

I love the innate texture produced here in combination with the feeling of carefree abandon... I once drove to the exact center of the continental US to scream where no one could hear me (it's right around the kansas/nebraska border... call it a tension reliever... I'll bet you felt better after taking this.

I like this. I knew a girl who also collected photobooth portraits (she collaged all of them into a book/journal). I always love the result of these when people get creative. I used to work at a little tourist photo studio at a Boardwalk where I had to take care of all these machines...it was always fun to play with them.
