I love this technique! The painted quality it gives the image is beautiful. I also like the composition, the placement of the tree in the foreground leads you right to the old barn in the background,and the slightly muted colors of the trees on the hillside behind adds depth. This is so very nice!

You can get the same effect in PS if you duplicate a layer, then blur it & for layer mode chose darken. But it's good to see the film version of this, looks so soft, almost dreamy. Wonderful result.

I like the sandwiching idea, the colours are so vibrant as well. I am going to have to try to attempt this sometime this year. Looks like it had rained earlier - with the way the colours look. Composition is also good, a wonderful view
