About This flower belongs to my front yard, and i took it standing from my garage on the day we had the heaviest rain in Southern California (Orange County) in March. It must have rained maybe 3 - 4 inches.. Actually there are two flowers, and i rubber stamped out the other flower.. just to concentrate on the flower of focus, and thus eliminate complains from would be critques..

Thanks for your comments on my geranium. I see what you mean. In my Jasc PS I do have unsharp mask and I have played
with it but still does not clear the picture. Perhaps the Jasc is not that great. I should
think about getting "Neatimage". The person who scans them for me has a negative option but she cannot get it to work so she simply sscans
the 4x6 photo. Also, should she send via bitmap and then, after I play with it, convert it to jpg?

Your picture is very very beautiful. the comments about focus from some viewers
is "bullcookies" Love this shot!
Cheers

les

Hi Subha *smile* After a rain is a great time to photograph when things are wet and you get nice saturated colors. Your DOF here is very too the only thing i find distracting are the flowers in the foreground that are out of focus. Always check every inch of viewfinder for things that will distract from your subject and try to eliminate them.

Possibly in this cause you could have carefully held the blossoms at the bottom down so they were out of your field of vision. Often if I have to move away from my camera to do this i will use the self-timer and that gives me time to move unwanted items from the field of view. Hope this suggestions help next time... Welcome to Usefilm! *smile*.. Maggie

thank you for some of you commenting on the fact it is a little out of focus.. I must point to you, to obtain this shot, i MUST use manual focus. It is simply because the Auto Focus will not work if i am using the 2x teleconverter.. And the sky was dark due to the rain.. and since i am working on a "Minimal DOF" i must have missed a little..
