Yes, an adult male yellow-shafted Northern Flicker. I posted a pic of a male redshafted Northern Flicker here on usefilm this spring. Differences are easy with a guidebook, though I understand hybrids occur often. Great sharpness, you got really close.

Actually, it's a Northern Flicker which is a woodpecker. It's a great photo, though. Thanks for your kind comments on my Coldfinch, oops, I mean Goldfinch.
