Hi Arthur,
For birds in flight I always use Al Servo.
That's the best option for moving subjects when the focusing distance keeps changing.
To improve your skills shoting birds in flight, I recommend you to practice with seagulls.

Very nice in flight shot of this lovely colourful duck. The colours of the blue sky make it stand out even more. Nice exposure and focus. Do you use one shot focus or AI Servo. I never had any real luck with AI Servo especially with IS on. It seems so jumpy. Would welcome any comment you have. You certainly ave the experience. Best regards.

Wow, you got one of the Wood Duck in flight!! This is nice, I can see the colors in his tail feathers and the patterns on is belly. Great job.

Yamil, just had a look through your PF, you have captured some amazing bird shots, so clear, with great colour and detail. You obviously handle your camera/lens very well. Look forward to seeing more.

Rob, I wish someday I will able to get shots of landscapes similar to yours.
