About My friend Charlieb, a 9 year old Beagle who lives in Salem came to visit me at the beach this week-end. We storm- watched with a fire in the fire place and the windows open...It was FUN !!
I think I am finally catching onto this Storm watching hobby !
I hope you like this image.

Interesting image and compostion Michele.
You have quite a few photos from this motel.
Do you get a room on the weekends to enjoy some alone time??
I think the only thing that this storm watcher needs Doyle has covered.....a slightly tighter crop.
Well done,

Paul

Thanks jessie i'm happy you like the stormy photo's because we have nothing but storms here for so long now ...It's snowing very close..like 30 miles in-land now .... I rent a house on the beach quite often , but i have been living with my Mom for the past 2 months as she's not been healthy since my Dad died.... She is a cool Mom and has a monster house so sometimes we don't hardly see each other but to check how we're doing !
I am a very lucky lady ! :))

Hi Doyle,

Thank you for your wonderful critique ... You know 'I ' am serious ..No joking around about this .
I agree about too much wasted space , and prefer your crop MUCH more better !!
The tilt...well I can even fix that now too I think !
Sometimes I just don't know what the heck I was thinking when I post an image ..LOL !!
Sincere Appreciation my friend,
Michele~

Oh Michele . . . I do envy the scenario you paint in the about section . . . open windows and a fire, rolling surf and approaching storm . . . good stuff! Love the beagles too (--remember http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1165198--?)!

Great view and very close to the sea! A couple of pointers for you to consider and keep in mind. Seems to my eye that you have a tad bit too much negative space . . . along the bottom and right side. While the composition is perfectly off-center this way . . . the attention and focal point on the silhouetted beagle and the sea through the door is really the subject . . . and I think a bit reduced in importance by the overall amount of darkness which does not contribute anything to the composition and actually serves to distract the eye from the subject you're presenting. There is a VERY MINOR tilt (IMO) as well . . . which I only mention in passing . . . (I had to measure to find it--I know--No Fair!)

But Michele . . . I think the emotive impact of this shot was very well seen and captured! The silhouette of the older dog . . . enjoying life . . . the sea in the BG . . . there is a certain "Feel" to this shot which you captured extremely well. It conveys emotion and it does it very well. I usually start my comments with intial thoughts (unless they're too negative) and you'll note the intial thought here was envy for the experience you enjoyed . . . and that's a tranquil and wonderful thing. I've attached a crop/tilt version for your consideration . . . but I did enjoy this shot!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
