HI there and congrats for the well deserved BIP. Those on location in nature or elsewhere outside with lightning well balanced and a nice model can really turned out awesome - your did. The camera isn´t so bad either:) Are you an assistent?
Why i haven´t been commenting is of the simple reason - time. I haven´t got so much time and lately i have posted images but not gived comments my self which is bad.

Don’t be silly my friend, as it’s your capture since you composed, focused, cropped, framed and fired the shutter. Regardless of who’s camera it is!
Perfect lighting, tones, textures, colours, sharpness and pose. I did however crop the top and left side to make it more balanced and more pleasing to the eye.
The only thing that drives me crazy is, that his hat is on crooked and it destroys the symmetry of this wonderful capture indeed. And I can’t fix that 1 for you… ;(

Yes, this is a great portrait. Nice lighting - great composition - well done!
IMHO, there is a little too much open space above the head, however, I don't think that detracts from what is a good entry into the 'Dramatic Portrait' project.
