About I saw that this ship was riding a bit high after unloading her cargo. I used a sand bag to steady the camera. Shame on me, but I boosted the saturation a bit in PS.

Hi Russell-

The red things are floats that support a protective barrier that is designed to contain any spilled fuel. this makes the clean-up a lot easier. This is one of a few environmental actions that actually makes a lot of sense.

Very interesting. She looks a big one.
Excuse my ignorance but what are the red thingies around the ships?

Russell

I understand what you're saying Paul. I shoot Fuji Reala because in most situations it very slightly boosts the saturation level. I use PS mostly for cropping and sizing my images. Once in a while I'll use levels or curves, but mostly I like to present images with little or no manipulation. I guess this is just the old fart in me showing through.

Hey, there's NO 'shame' in improving any image in photoshop, when needed. If you imagine something, shoot it, it makes sense to tweak it to what you imagined or wanted when you captured it. ;)
