What an incredible caputure! Wonderful details and perfect timing-- nice catch of the water droplets flying off of it's head as it tries to catch the fish thown to it. I've never seen a pelican with it's mouth (bill??) open like this. Exellent!

Just fantastic!!
I love the feathers and the detail in the membranes of the bottom of his bill. What do they call that anyway?

Superb details Darlene. The feathers came out perfectly and you can even see the viens in the mouth. My only suggestion might be the composition. Possibly getting the entire bird into the shot.
Regards,
Chris

wow now that is a big mouth LOL, what a great capture! I love how you got the top view so we can get that wide open view, I dont really see a think to critique, though i think he could fit more then one little fish in there :) Excellent..

woww.. very nice capture of the moment
and the details and sharpness are amazing
for critics, I am not sure of, but maybe the position of the pelican, could be more dynamic
