Looks very dangerous! Please be careful!!!! We are currently experiencing unseasonally warm weather, 25-27 Degrees Centigrade, blue skies, calm breezes. October is traditionally thunderstorm time here. Our monthly rain fall was .4mm compared to the average 70mm. Our past winter was unusually warm, not a trace of snow. I am really enjoying the climate and your pictorial reminders of how lucky we are. Last night I took my family to see Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth". Have you seen it? I have been reading through the comments on your work, especially your comments about the lack of colour. This is precisely what makes these images so imposing, that and the abundance of texture evoke a very strong emotional response, whether it is wonder or fear. CC

Hi, Chris. To me an image must be appealing and move you in some way, no matter what the subject is and how it was taken This image does very much so. I may have mainly colourful abstract in my portfolio but I like all types of photography and certainly B&W too. I know how beautiful Canadian winters are. I've heard of them and seen documentary films. I'll be looking forward to seeing your pics. Thank you so much for your kind words and your interest. Wishing you all the best Emgy

Emgy, I am touched with your kind words especially from someone with your extensive experiance. I am delighted you enjoyed the series despite it being devoid of any colour (your work is just so rich with vibrant colour). Later I will work to show you also how beautiful a Canadian winter can be as well. I appreciate your interest and enjoy your work!

Glad you enjoyed the series AJ, I spend eight hours in the car that day driving and wanted to capture even a part of the experince to share with those that don't normally ever see such conditions. Thank you for your comments.

Thanks Chris, winter conditions are very trying and not everyone made it home that night as I passed several abandoned cars in the ditch. For the record it was -13c here this morning!

Nice series Chris, though I'm commenting on my least favourite! (largely because of the intruding car interior here.) I love the sense of speed (albeit it limited speed!) in "Limited Visibility", and the B&W grain in "Whiteout" and "Accumulation". And I'm very happy to experience these conditions through your photos rather than in my reality...

Very interesting series Chris, the movement in this one quite dramatic. Coming from a place where these conditions just never occur, its a frightening thought to even contemplate driving, never mind at highway speeds or overtaking....19h00 and a balmy 26 deg. outside....

Thanks Stefan, Though I am not sure my insurance company would approve of my taking such pictures while driving :) Love the work you do in B&W, really powerful.
