Working on my portfolio, tried to make a still life commercial shot of a brand of chips (or crisps uf your British). What do you think? The lightsource is the sun, also using a gold reflector. I like the background, but not sure if it's suitable for the subject.
Hi Good light and compostion, but i think if the backgrond could have been clean white, subject could have come out more strongly, which currently is bit under due to strong character of any pattern.
It is an appealing shot but your question about the background tells me you already know: the background does not help "sell" the image. Now the tough part: what should the background be? beats me but there has to be something more appealing to try or perhaps drop in a texture or gradient. --best to you, Jan
