There is an obscure term, "punding" that I first came across in Andy Warhols popism (I think). He uses it to talk about people on speed in the sixties spending ages on doing coloured drawings with compass sets etc. I think generally it is applied to any fixation an addict may spend their time on (not sure). The poster below is magnificent and considered but also has elements, to my mind, of this activity. Perhaps I'll keep working on this.
