Hey Magnus,
what can I say? 7/7 for the comment? One of the best comment I've ever got?
The Oscar goes to you.

His name is Sven.....he was born in 1935 in Dresden. He's looking back at his life......living for 30 years in a small apartment, driving a Drabant after waiting for years to buy one. Now he has retired from his job at the East German railroads, and his once beloved DDR is gone. His pension is just about enough for rent, food and the occasional trip to his sister in Celle. Every once in a while he reads about the 22 year old millionaires making a fortune in the new technology of which Sven knows very little. Once though, in 1973, he shock hands with Erich Honecker. Suck on that you spoiled brats.
Sorry Thilo...my imagination got the best of me. But exactly those thoughts came to mind when seing this image of the high rise projects. that says a lot about the image i guess.
Regards Magnus

What a great effect Thilo. I like that you're always pushing the envelope, and I see it earned you an award too...well deserved as always, I like the moody feel this has, the tones and sky are great, and the way you worked with the space between him and the architecture is interesting and very creative...this almost has a kind of Holga look to it...well done as always, hugs, Linda

Hi Thilo, I really like the colour de-saturation effect in this one. The colour suits this image perfectly and the composition is so well balanced, it is no wonder that you have a BIP for this one! Congrats!
Could this be the opening scene in a series of images that tells a story? It seems like a great starting point to me. The composition is very much like "comic strip" format. Was that intentional or by accident? Andre

What really impresses me here, is the amount of "activity", expressed with so little. The sideways glance, combined with the selective DOF create a feeling of intrigue. It seems that this man has a very important mission, and the ominously dark sky and the muted building are the canvas where this mission will unfold. Very cool, Thilo! ~Brad

Very nice! The style and subject reminds me of older times. The dark sky in the top left is either distracting or quite foreboding. Nicely done. :)
