Wonderful use of the period clothes to create this nice warm image Nessa!
I haven't been to your portfolio for a while. It is obvious that your images are improving day by day! Isn't it amazing how much variety of image you can produce with the little Fuji!
I'm using a Fuji S5000 which is similar to yours, I belive.
A little work in photoshop after downloading and most images look great!

This shot is so beautiful Vanessa it looks like somthing out of a book,just wonderful.The only thing I would say if I may is the plant pot is a little distraction to the eye.You could clone it out but every thing els over rights it though I think well done Vanessa.......Bob.

The UF flag is my show of support for Gayle Hardman's Non-aligned Photogs . . . it's there sometimes and sometimes it's my USA flag . . . back and forth. Gayle wanted a photographic equivalent of Doctors Without Borders . . .
Apparently some had felt that ID of their home country was bad and there was no way to choose 'None' under country. This allows people to select, in essense, 'All' since photography is transcendant. I'm helping to spread awareness, but, in spite of it all, I'm still proud to be from the USA. To avoid seeming ashamed I swap back and forth from time to time. The flag is set under 'My Preferences' and changes thoughout UF if you change it. Hope this answers your question!! :)

Its a beautiful picture, Vanessa and really does have the feel of an oil painting. Such rich colours. Moving slightly to the right, though, might have separated Hollie from the flowerpot balanced on her shoulders!

Nessa, this is stunning.
The colour and atmosphere are terrific. Hollie, and her dress are elegant. The florals in the background are lovely, I'm glad you didn't blur them.
One small suggestion, though. Hollie looks like she's about to jump down, and I would have liked to have seen some room infront of her for the implied motion about to take place. Placing her just a little right of center in the frame may have accomplished that. That's just me being very nit-picky - as I said this is a stunning image.
