Hi Andrzej,
I like the idea of going for a simpler monochramtic look with this kind of image. I think the reason being that this kind of shot can get very busy with detail in full colour. (I have found this with a lot of my shots too) Sometimes what the eye sees as a nice image in real life can come out of the camera as almost overwhelming in detail. Going mono like this helps to calm the image down for us. I hope this makes sense?
