Thanks for the comments. The halo was from darkening the outside details, i was gong to remove it but decided it added an ethereal feel. I don't like making too many adjustments to my photos but sometimes a little goes a long way to making a picture more than its printed two dimentions.

"If I were to pinpoint a theme that crops up in my photography, it would be the re-occurance of tunnels and passageways. They always seem to feature the human form and i think stem back to a near death experiance. Maybe.... Anyway, more to come soon...." - are you me? ;)
seriously, i'm equally fascinated with this theme. i wouldn't say i shudder with delight every time a subway train comes blasting through a tunnel, but...
anyways, i was quite drawn to this photo, because i'm interested in taking shots like these, ie. people going down and coming out of the stairs leading to/from the subway. any tips would be appreciated!
re: the pic, the figure is perfectly placed. there seems to be a 'halo' around him. was this intended? i like it as it delineates him from the building and evokes an angel motif. i also like the soft light on the right wall. the perspective of the stairs is good bcz you took it at such an angle as to create tension in an already intriguing photo.
all in all - cool! :)
