Hi Arthur,
It was along the road on the north side of Giroux at a slight bend next to the LaFarge Pit. That is just off of Frank Kenney rd. He's been around for the past two winters... I sure hope he/she comes back again!

Pretty nice shot Pierre, that lens looks pretty good too. Sharpness and colours excellent. You'll have to tell me where you go in Navan to get a shot of these guys. Art.

Thanks Dave! It was also my first sighting of a Great Grey Owl. Until recently, I never realized that they could be fairly common in the area here... impressive birds!!

Hi Piere. I must admit I had to chuckle a little. From this perspective, he looks a littel cross eyed. Your capture of the details in the textures is wonderful. The play of shadows adds an interest that is complelling. Superb shot. MAry

Thanks Dave, glad you liked it. They certainly are impressive creatures and it was a real treat to have this one settle so close to the city. I'm keeping fingers crossed that they do a come back again this winter!
