Hi Andre.
I liked that because of the contrast of that soft look and the quite city-chaos-like poles at the depth. I think I should include the ceiling and the platform though. It is a bit "incomplete" as it is now.
Take care and many many thanks.
Nick

Hi Nick, For me, this one has the least attractive composition... but it does have that nice soft, lazy look of the earlier post that I liked so much. Too bad you didn't get as much of this effect in the first one of this series. I like the way the snow shows in the lamp light in all four of the images. Andre

Thanks a lot Doyle.
Though I'm a metal-man that night I was... twisting my night away ;-)
There will be many many more twists in future.
Regards,
Nick

Wonderful comment by Annemette here and nothing more for me to add! Perfect light and an unusual twist to the work I normally see from you Nick. Very well done!

Thank you very very much, Mohamed! Indeed that night snow was the best light diffusor that I ever had. And this induces that feeling of "who knows where it all ends".
Thanks again and best wishes,
Nick
P.S.: Thanks heavens, the train arrived at Hergiswil that night despite low range of visibility. Those guys can see through the storm. ;-)

Thank you so much for the lovely detailed comment, Annemette. Indeed one only hears the sound of the own steps and the own thoughts. It has been a rather unusual way back home, with many delays and similar "adventures" and with much to think about, when I realized that it was snowing again.
So, while being the only one on that platform 12 from Lucerne to Hergiswil, I thought, what about some shots? And so, to enhance the rather empty and silent atmosphere, that kind of solitude in thoughts of which you also talked about, I used the wide angle lens, since it can create such a depth and distance. It let the place look like some kind of scene of absurd theater, I hope without diminishing that magic. I hope that it is sharp enough, though of course the falling snow played a diffusor role at the depth.
Many thanks again and best wishes,
Nick
P.S.: Snowball on your back! Paff! ;-)

I like this one due to the calm mood and the feeling of being close to the snow and nature although being in a town. I remember some late nights when coming home walking through the snow in solitude. There is such a magical feeling about such a walk in the snow. Noone around but one´s thoughts and the snow covering the land, falling in one´s face and making nice sounds while stepping through it. Mmmmm. I adore warm weather, but there´s magic in the air when the snow falls like in this photo. Best wishes, Annemette
