Thank you very much painsama! I hesitated taking this shot because my tripod's facility for vertical shots is not very stable. But it worked at the end.
Yes, it has that depth that pulls the observer in it. But I still can't really decide if it is the vertical or the horizontal shot that has more of that depth.

Out of the 4 compositions, I think I like this one the most. The vertical composition really gives a sense of vastness, and forwardness with the railroad leading the eye towards an unknown destination. I love the lighting too. Very nice, Nick.

Thanks a lot Annemette. This one focuses rather on the tired solitude, when returning home in silence. A bit like, choose your way to nowhere, but nonetheless also containing the feeling of "back home in some minutes".

I like this composition with the protective roof and the rails running symmetrically out in the snow and the world ready to explore new frontiers. Still I prefer the very mood in the latest one when being out in the snow.:-) Best wishes, Annemette
