You're very welcome Chris and sorry about your frustration. I've found that the more you comment . . . the more comments you'll receive. Also, some comments, like "Nice shot", are decidedly common and tend to be given to those that tend to give them to others. I get a wide variety because that's what I give . . . but never generic comments. Detailed critiques are rare . . . but like the other comments . . . you really must make it clear you want them and one of the best ways to do this is to give them as well. By the way . . . I see another possible idea for your shot here . . . say . . . a dynamic, bold crop (and 1 degree tilt to level the rail)? Just something else for you to consider! :)
Thank you Doyle, for taking the time to comment on this as well as "Koh Pannyi" As mentioned to Fabrice, it seems as if people are content to fly by without offering anything of themselves. There are some notable exceptions - of which you are right up there, and I guess leaving this distraction in, was my way of seeing how many people are involved beyond looking. I too am guilty of not getting as involved as I could at times...blah blah blah...enough of the social commentry - thank you again Doyle for giving up of your time and experience.
Thanks for commenting Fabrice. The bright rays are actually leaves from a plant in the forground - a little less distracting in colour. I had agonised for a long while as to whether I should attempt to remove them, and finally decided against - It has been a source of frustration for me lately, that you may get a lot of views, but no comments - contructive or otherwise.... my way of testing the system.... Thank you again.
This is a nice shot and I like the expression that you succeeded to capture. The tones and contrast are well managed and the use of DOF well seen. Just one regret, the bright rays on the righ foreground, they disturb the whole composition. Nice work
