Hi Tim, photography has no secrets; what is important is why and not how, anyway let me explain the "secret" of this picture. The secret is the composition. I shoot in RAW mode, adjust the usual parameters wit camera RAW (PS); convert to BW with Allien skin exposure and flaten the layers with partial desaturation to get these mute colors; in this case sharpen the shadows and defocused/blurr a bit the rest, and that's all.

Another really nice image. I'm new to the site and have just been looking around, and had to take a look at your portfolio. I really enjoy your work. Again the placement of the color, the composition, the mood...and that "DiChirico" shadow! Don't want you to reveal any trade secrets but I'd be interested in knowing a little more about how you shoot and your post-processing.
