Del you are right about them being poorly drained and peat bogs and all. They also often have rolling hills and gorse and purple heather and the music of skylarks. And although Britain is densely populated they remain aloof from where people settle. So the people just wander on them and remember them.

This looks like beautiful rolling hills. I need to read up on moors. I always thought of them as poorly drained and containing peat bogs. Usefilm can be educational. I do agree, the area you show is beautiful. Del.

WOnderful shot, but I think the bottom edge of road is a bit distracting. Perhaps cropping up to the grass in the foreground could help.
