Powerful work, I like the joining of beauty and ugliness. Metaphorically, I think most of us have a little of each of these spirits, but the latter does tend to dominate, so far as I can see. To me, this image can also be seen as a comment on marriage: a wedding dress, train and chains.

My own feeling is that more people fall into the latter than the former, and the process of living itself is finding some balance and some means of beating back the darkness, whether it's through religion, drink...or photography.
