I like this shot. Documentary shots are one of my preferred kind of shot. Maybe B/W could be better (more contrast?) but it's really a good shot.

Thank you Luigi, for your detailed critic... I don't know why the vegtables came burnt out, even in the color picture (would post it soon)... I don't know if you like it or not... cause it got only one mark out of seven in the overall!...
I just want to add one more thing.. the woman is not blind... she was just shy of beeing photographed.

Composition: the subject is clear and the other elements contribute to the description of its environment. you could get a little closer
Lighting (and tones/brightness/contrast): good tones for the woman, the vegetables have some highlights that are too bright and distract
Originality: the image is unique for the subject's expression
Emotional appeal: great impact, the expression of the woman gives me a sense of serenity and hope. The feeling i have is of a blind woman that can enjoy life and it's little pleasures
