The eyes! They really pull you in. To me that's what a good portrait should be, and you've aced it. The whole photo is perfect IMO. I can imagine it was tough getting her to sit still and yet it's like she's looking into the camera.
p.s. Get used to cats having weird personalities. You will find they are a species all of their own. lol

thanks Sam, i grew up with greyhounds for most of my life so there wasn't many cats around my place, but since i got married cats have become a big part of the house hold, still have dogs but are balanced with cats now.
She is a great cat see the response i gave to Cathy as an insite to her character. Ciao Jase

sorry for taking so long to get back to you cathy, work has had me tripping over Victoria for the last month.
She is a beautiful cat, mischievious though, my wife daily looses the sponge from the sink, and she was caught throwing one of them at my daughter the other night ( i've only just stopped laughing about that)
Her and the dog are like the best of pals wrestling and chasing each other about in most of their wake hours.
And she doesn't have a delicate stomach will eat about anything, including mince left out to thaw ( nibbling on the thawed parts) to BBQ chips.
She is as soft as she looks too reminds me of a meercat sometime with her tail as it sticks straight up except the tip which flops over, all you see is the tail as she walks past some of our lower furniture.

This is just soo cute, I do think this little fur ball is just too cute, that is about the only problem:) lighting exposure, expression crop all seem excellent to me..

Talk about an awesome Kitten shot. I am not a Cat person as my three dogs would not like me if I were.
The aura the kitty gives off is one of sweetness and innocence(typo?)
I love the presentation and the details. They say the Eyes are the gateway to the soul. This little guy must have an awesome one!

beautiful portrait. wonderful expression. I loved the sharpness and all the details. also the light seems nice to me. the only element that disturbs me is about the cropping. the edges of her whiskers are not in the image. besides this is an excellent portrait

A rag doll! I have always wanted a rag doll! I fell in love with a description of their personality, I didn't know they were this beautiful. Now you've done it! The longing is stronger.
I must admit I am already blessed with my cat family, but there is always room for one more. Where did you get this sweetie?
Oh about the photograph...purrrfect portrait. Great composition, beautifully lit for white fur-not easy. I love the fur round the neck. From the way it is sitting in layers I know that this indicates supreme softness. I can feel the warmth. ( there's the longing again!)
I notice he?? has a dark ring in the iris close to the pupil, does he have a delicate stomach? CC
