About Used a polarizer on this one; wish I hadn't though...sky was extraordinarily blue that day and I got banding as a result...I kind of like the shot in spite of it. cheers!

Wonderful scenery. You definately have such a way of capturing the beauty abd character of the places you visit. The lines and the contrasts in this are glorious. Congratulations on DIOD.

Nice, but to "plastic" or saturated.
As you said, you should have not used a Polarizer.

Excellent - love the composition of this one - the colors and the contrast with the mountains are super. Nice flow - all sorts of angles and interesting things to look at, and as the details are so clear - there is plenty to see.

Great colors in the sky Rob. I like the character of the landscape you've captured, with the stripped down trees. Congrats on the award!

Hi Rob,

The mix between a wide angle and polarizer is always a difficult one. If you have SC2, the shadow / highlight tool will correct most of it, though.

I do like the high level of saturation in this photo. The screamingly hard blues and the fresh, crisp greens together with the rugged feel of the landscape, illustrated by the broken off tree. Very good shot.

Cheers,

hugo

Looks great with the polarizer on. Great image of the canyon. Great composition leaving the fallen tree in the foreground. Beautiful earth tones and a fantastic sky.
