Leora - Thanks. Don't suppose this was a test at which one could fail. I have three of these up so far and have a fourth to post when I get around to it.

Hi, James. It was fun finding you in this photo.
As to the strength, it is kind of symbolic - with the columns and the surrogate people standing their ground. They seem to be patiently in the shadows on a very bright day. And they are plain people, stripped of all artifice. Simple and proud.
I guess this was a little like a Rorschach test. Hope I passed. The movie coming to a theatre near you...

Leora - Thanks. The series in general is about reflection and discovery. I think I can see how you would draw out some ideas about suspended animation. Tell me more about the strength you see.

This is very conceptual with lots of possibilities for interpretation - because of the almost human content. There is also the mysterious reflection which actually looks like a background.
To me it represents suspended animation and strength.
Cheers and Merry Christmas, Leora

Andre - Thanks. I saw the photograph to which you refer. Very good work that. Nice to be in such good company. Dali? Not a huge fan, but I know his work well enough. Enjoy it too. See you.

Hi James, I thought this was some sort of multiple layered image at first, but it turns out it is the same sort of image as Hugo De Wolf's recent shot of the Cardinal looking at a painting. I was fooled by his too. Anyway there is a nice surrealistic feel to this image. A little bit of Dali influence maybe?
BTW Great bio. Andre

Sara - You are correct. I am holding the camera against my body to keep it as still as possible (not a lot of light). I do that where necessary. On this little camera the viewfinder is useless nearly all the time and I just look at the monitor either before or after shooting (shooting again if I didn't get it right). Thanks.

james, i can see u standing in the photo...what i've noticed is that while shooting u weren't looking in the view finder..which i often do when shooting photoz...and if my notice is right i guess we r somehow have the same techniques in shooting pix....

Francisco - Yeah, tough to work around that one. Each plate was only so wide. I tried to use it in the best location possible given the circumstances. Maybe including a horizontal line would have helped to balance that out. Thanks for commenting.

Very interesting reflexions. The only thing I find distracting is the vertical window frame breaking the image into two sections.
All the best.
